Problem/Motivation

The new addition of entity_reference, file and soon image field types are not currently supported for feeds integration.

Proposed resolution

Due to the extent of feeds functionality per field type, create a plugin system for all relevant custom field types that the parent custom_field feeds type can iterate over to process values, configuration form, get summary etc...
