Similar to the HTML dropdown component, it could make sense to have an HTML checkbox facet component to allow more styling control. Unlike the dropdown, it's not clear what an HTML version would add over the current facet-checkbox and facet-button components. Opening this issue to track if there is need for this component.
If we do build one we'd likely model it after https://www.w3.org/WAI/ARIA/apg/patterns/checkbox/
