Registration Form

I'm using the Simplenews module which provides a field on the user registration form for subscribing to a newsletter. This option can be configured to be selected automatically on the registration form for new users.

I'd like for that option to be selected during bulk import which would create the subscriber in the simplenews table.

Any thoughts on how to accomplish this?
