Tokens are not getting replaced for To field

If I put this [easy_email:recipient_address] in the To field under Recipients and override this for the Password Recovery email I get the following error and no email delivery
Error sending email: Email "[easy_email:recipient_address]" does not comply with addr-spec of RFC 2822.

But if I put this field
[easy_email:recipient_address]
or
[easy_email:recipient_address:0]
in the HTML body field and hardcode my own email address under Recipients To
these fields get replaced with the contents of Recipients To in the body field

It seems that this field is getting populated from the template rather than having the information fed in to the template.

Is there another token that I should be using?

If this is a password recovery email, it requires a user account. In the parameter mapping section of the override form, did you map it to Recipients? That field is recipient_uid, so I think the token you want would be [easy_email:recipient_uid:0:entity:mail]. Can you try that?
