Version 3.0.0 shows as update for Drupal 8+

Updated 13 February 2024, about 1 year ago

Problem/Motivation

When running updates to Drupal 10 the betterlogin module reports version 3.0.0 as an update to version 2.0.1.
I manually downloaded the 3.0.0 version and it is definitely for Drupal 7 and shouldn't be picked up as an update for D8+

Steps to reproduce

run composer outdated "drupal/*"

Color legend:
- patch or minor release available - update recommended
- major release available - update possible

Direct dependencies required in composer.json:
drupal/betterlogin 2.0.1 3.0.0 Make the login screens better :)

Proposed resolution

I'm not sure how one makes this adjustment but I don't think 3.0.0 should be picked up by composer as an option.

It happened because 7.x-1.x branch set to unsupported accidentally & there's no option to set this supported so for active development of Drupal 7 we have created 3.0.x branch. Now for Drupal 10 active branch is 2.0.x & for Drupal 7 active branch is 3.0.x

    Please ignore this update.
