Option for including a IP Database?

Problem/Motivation

I'm wanting to block user registration for everyone outside of my country. I was excited to find this module, but was then immediately intimidated by the sheer number of IP addresses alone that are listed for my country. Would there be the possibility of leveraging an IP database like MaxMind to allow the user to easily select countries to allow/block?

Also, at the moment, is my only option to enter a ton of IP's for my country?
