Entity references additions and updates edited with Inline Entity Form are not shown in preview

Problem/Motivation

The live preview does not show organizations referenced via inline entity form— this is true for referencing existing content, creating new referenced content, or edits made through the inline form.

So adding referenced entity, whether it is a new or existing one, does not show up in the live preview until the content has been saved once.

Steps to reproduce

Paragraphs, media, taxonomy term reference, and regular node reference all seem to work.

This seems to be specific to referenced entities where we use Inline Entity Form - Complex (Open) as the editing widget?!
