Git instructions not appearing on the project page

I am the module maintainer of config ignore auto.

For some reason https://www.drupal.org/project/config_ignore_auto/git-instructions → gives me the empty repository instructions while the repository is indeed not empty.

I set the default branch on gitlab and even just changed but to not avail.

Is this something it can be fixed here?

These are actually instructions to get you to the first release, which should be a dev release. Until then, the no-releases version of the instructions shows. Since migrating Git repositories to GitLab, we do not have a quick way of querying whether a repository is empty or not.
