The same display formatters are available in views. There is a custom template formatter that allows you to customize the output specific to the field and the rewrite output in views can also be used to target the specific values. It's gonna be pretty similar result as address field module if you're familiar with that... just different formatters available.

Hello, for the entity reference it display always the value -id like 1 when used with custom template. However i would like to see label name like user "Coaston" instead of value 1y Currently it seems it does not support this. I think this topic was related to this bug.

The 3.x dev version has full views support with relationships. I will be putting out a new release soon as well.
