Problem/Motivation

Visitors can view the site in a translation via Google Translate after acknowledging that the English language is definitive.

After accepting a pop-up something like:

This website provides automatic translation into twelve languages using Google Translate. Please remember that the English language version is the most accurate. In the event of a disagreement or discrepancy between the translation and the original English version of this web site or any notice or disclaimer, the original version will prevail.

Steps to reproduce

Proposed resolution

  • When a visitor presses the language link, a popup is offered with disclaimer text, when accepted the google translate link is shown
  • No cookie is saved about this acceptance (but if the translation bar is not closed, nor the dropdown button used to switch back to the original language, it stays under the translated version)
