Drupal 10.2 tokens are empty

I am trying to use fivestar to generate tokens for metatags, but the tokens are empty.

I also applied patch the following patch, but it didn't help :

amazingly, the alpha 5 release seems to not contain token-related code.
I did a text search on all files and there were no matches for the word "token".

So I switched to the dev release and now there are tokens. duh.
