This request is a bit selfish, but I truly think it will be useful for others as well. I've spent a few days trying to solve a problem I encountered 🐛 Issue when specifying format when used in combination with the REST & JSON API Authentication module. Active when using Subrequests in combination with the REST & JSON API Authentication module → and I've realized that adding an option to choose the default response format completely solves my issue.
I'd be happy to tackle this and generate a patch (I've never done this before, but I'd like to learn) if the maintainers are okay with it.
Add an admin interface with an option to set the default response format.
