[PP-1] Run tests on gitlab for unconverted module version

I want to try quick experiment in this area, though still leaving this as minor priority as 📌 Run kernel tests on GitLab CI after module is converted to core version RTBC is the primary concern for now

Postponing on 📌 Run kernel tests on GitLab CI after module is converted to core version RTBC . Someone could work on this if they want but just marking to make it obvious we aren't working on it and don't need to right now

I think we can close this. We now use GitLab CI exclusively to run the unconverted version on the current and previous minor versions of core, and we have an issue open to test the converted version as part of our regular pipeline.
