Multilingual invitations

I'm wondering if anyone knows if there is a particular D7 release + patch(es) that is known to support a multilingual invitation environment?

I've tried what I could find in the issue queue, manually patching various versions, all without success. I'm curious to know if anyone has this working before I consider creating an alternative or working to update the existing patches, if budget allows.
