Filtering of internal node link autocomplete results is not properly applied

Maybe a screenshot of your menu setup, domain assignment, etc and/or what your menu's form_id is that makes it not "menu_link_content_menu_link_content_form"?

Using contrib menu_item_extras module seems to change the default menu link content's form ID of 'menu_link_content_menu_link_content_form'. That's why the form detection mechanism should probably be handled in a more robust way by not relying on a specific form ID.
