fuzzy mode fix sometimes leads to exceptions in older Solr versions

The fix in [ #3404623] is correct. But due to a bug in older Solr versions, some longer search terms might cause exceptions in Solr about synonyms. At least Solr 9.4.0 solves that issue.
Therfore, the fix should be configurable.
