The "Add Option" setting does not work

When I click on the "Add Option" button in the settings the following error message is displayed

Oops, something went wrong. Check your browser's developer console for more details.

In the console there are two error messages:

Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 500 (500 Service unavailable (with message))
