In the course of investigating a deprecation notice in https://www.drupal.org/project/juicebox/issues/3372033 🐛 Error with layout builder Fixed , it's become apparent that the Juicebox field formatter (and likely also the Views integration) doesn't cope well when there isn't a fully built entity to source it with data.
Add a field formatted by the Juicebox formatter to a default layout configuration. Notice there's no way for a content editor to edit the block until they disable content preview.
Provide a sane default preview for use when there is insufficient information to generate a gallery from a bona-fide entity.
