D10 : The update hooks 8904 and 8905 field checks are failing.

Problem/Motivation

When switched to drupal 10 the update hooks 8904 and 8905 are failing with errors.

Issue is the check added to detect the field is already present or not is not returning correct results:

  • Move to Drupal 10 with the latest version of the module ^1.8
  • Run drush updb
