Fix Gitlab CI PHPStan errors

Problem/Motivation

GitLab CI is being used to test this module. To see the results, find the 2.0.x-dev Development version on the project page, and click on "View all pipelines" to see the results.

The only pipeline that now has warnings is PHPStan. There remaining error is this, spread out over seven files:

  1. \Drupal calls should be avoided in classes, use dependency injection instead

These should be fixed, but this should not stop 2.0.x-dev from working as intended. I'm keeping this issue "Active" until these are fixed as well.

Proposed resolution

Ad merge requests (MRs) to fix all or some of these errors and warnings. MRs are tested upon submission, so we shall be able to see the result immediately. Do not submit patches.
