In the Drupalcon23 keynote, DA board election speech, and different meetings, it was emphasized that Drupal is very US-based and this needs to change.
Again, at DrupalCon23, Drupal marketing was defined as one of the 3 main goals in the new term road map.
However, a US-based perspective - including marketing - is a fundamental obstacle to the global expansion of Drupal.
Because different regions have different marketing needs. If a unique marketing plan is made without taking those local needs into consideration, the desired result will not be achieved.
It is important to focus on creating a global marketing strategy that includes local targets and organizing a marketing effort that includes locals accordingly.
