Setting map options using Feature Additional Properties

That options is indeed called "Feature Additional Properties" and not "Map Additional Properties".

Those properties of you apply to the map ... so for accomplishing your goals please try (in your custom module) the hook_leaflet_map_info(), as it is exampled in the leaflet.api.php file or already implemented in the leaflet.module file
