Date shown does not match date entered (intermittently)

Problem/Motivation

Date shown in view does not match Date entered (enter 19th, shows 18th).

This does not trigger consistently, but once discrepancy is present - it stays visible. This seems to be related on time of day the entry is made. Probably something about timezone differences. In our drupal the system and users were all set to new york time zone.
