Dependent Field feature stopped working after D10 upgrade

Problem/Motivation

The dependent field feature stopped working after the D10 upgrade(to be specific: the ajax call is not happening after upgrading the module to make it compatible for D10).

Steps to reproduce

1. Install D10 vanila
2. Upgrade the module to make it compatible to D10 using the patch from this issue: https://www.drupal.org/project/business_rules/issues/3286389 📌 Automated Drupal 10 compatibility fixes Needs review
3. Create dependent fields mentioned in this tutorial: https://www.drupal.org/docs/8/modules/business-rules/advanced-usage/depe... →
4.Test the dependent field feature.
5. End result: there is no ajax call happening for the dependent field, and no errors in the console.

Root cause for this issue was usage of a deprecated hook hook_field_widget_form_alter
in the module file.
