Auto block translate is not translating custom block content

Problem/Motivation

We are on Drupal 10.1.1 and have enabled auto_block_translate on the site. We have a content type that
using layout editor to add blocks on the page. I have added a block on the page with content.
When I try to do automatic translation to Spanish, the block content is still in English.
Note:
We are using Google Cloud Translate V2 as translation API

Steps to reproduce

1. Enable auto_node_translate and auto_block_translate modules.
2. Configure so that content type, content block and any custom blocks are translatable.
3. Create a content type with the one of the fields as a block
4. Do an automatic translation to say Spanish
5. View the translated spanish version, it will still be in English
