No nid available in _layout_builder_modal_dialog_options() on manage layout page causing an error

Problem/Motivation

I am getting this error when visiting the manage layout page for a content type (not an individual node)

Error: Call to a member function get() on null in _layout_builder_modal_dialog_options() (line 109 of modules/contrib/layout_builder_modal/layout_builder_modal.module).

Visit e.g. /admin/structure/types/manage/page/display/default
