Thanks! I havn't experienced this myself but its an easy fix so pushed it to dev. FYI, the 2.x branch will receive all future updates so encourage you to migrate to that one. I've pushed the same fix there.

@lammensj - read through the release notes here https://www.drupal.org/project/custom_field/releases/2.0.0-beta1 → around the changes. A cache clear and reviewing existing field settings should be all thats needed. There are now formatter plugins in the manage display page as well in this version.

Fixed in 2.x version.
