hreflang tags dont get added

Drupal 9 site on latest version. Gtranslate 3.0.1

Ive noticed that the alternative hreflang tags dont get added to pages - so I have a site thats available in 7 other languages but when I look at the default EN pages it doesnt show the other lang versions as hreflang tags?

Does someone have any code to be able to add this please? Gtranslate dont offer this and their support forum is now closed. When I asked support they said the only solution was for Wordpress sites.
