Date field does not trigger the target field

Problem/Motivation

When I consider a date field(date only) as conditional field which has certain preferred date stored in the dependency form, even after selecting the stored date in the content form the target field does not get triggers the action

Steps to reproduce

a> store the date in the date field(Date only) in the dependency form
b> go to content form
c> select the date in the date field which is equal to stored date of dependency form
