Messages with plain text and HTML don't work in Apple Mail

The problem is visible if you send an email with both a plain text and an HTML version. The Content-Type header is being added twice, and only once is it Content-Type: multipart/alternative, like it should be. Many email clients are fine with this, but Apple Mail displays the entire raw message (both parts), in HTML format.
