specify media type on import

Hello I hope you can help.

We found this module when searching for a solution to our case. Migrating a site to d10 and importing from an already huge files folder. in our d7 install each file field had its own folder. So for this new version we would like the end users to click the media field and then the library could show only the files related to that field.

So we started to create media types for each of the fields, and an associated field field on the content type (product images/news photos/corporate brochures/ etc).

Then we installed this module to import each batch. On the first import we noticed that there seems to be no option to specify the media type.

The module just assumed we wanted them to go into Drupals default image media type. The custom media fields naturally didn't show any files. of course the field on the content type is essentially the wrong one.

We could just use the default media types, but our end users would have to comb through hundreds of files instead of just a few.

Perhaps we have missed a step in the process or im asking for a new feature here? If so I hope it is a useful feature for others.
