On PHP 8.1, warnings about "ctype_digit(): Argument of type int will be interpreted as string in the future"

With PHP 8.1 I get the following warning:

Deprecated function: ctype_digit(): Argument of type int will be interpreted as string in the future in Drupal\commerce_pos\RecentCashiers->validate() (line 117 of modules/contrib/commerce_pos/src/RecentCashiers.php).

I replaced ctype_digit() with is_numeric(). But to be honest I'm not completely sure if am right because in other places is used is_numeric(), but for some reason in this case was use ctype_digit(), and I don't know if is for a particular reason.
