Pager index not reset when selecting exposed filter

If you have a view with exposed filters and a pager with Enable Views AJAX history is enabled:

you go to page 5 without an active exposed filter
on page 5 you select an exposed filter which only have enough results to fill up 2 pages
the view stays on page 5 with exposed filter applied and show No results
if you manually refresh the page then the pager resets and results are being showed

If you select an exposed filter the pager should reset to page 0. Or am I missing something that prevents this from happening.

I first thought this was an issue with BEF but it turns out that when I uncheck the checkbox Enable Views AJAX history in the AJAX settings of my view, everything is working just fine.
