Don't automatically generate plain text version

Problem/Motivation

The current version of the module automatically generates a plain text alternative, even if that has not been requested by using $params['generate_plain'] or $params['convert'].

Proposed resolution

Only generate plain text versions if the params array specifies that it should be done.
