When upload a new photo with ipct data embedded, new terms are created in the "Images" vocabulary including ipct and sub categories (e.g. keywords) even if there are already present. I came from the 7.x module which has a different and more sensate behavior: if in the vocabulary is already present the main category (ipct) and the sub-cats (keywords, etc), the new tag will go under the sub-category without creating a new tree.
Upload a media with exif/ipct metadata extraction enabled.
Maybe my foult in configuration but the installation manual is not clear and needs to be alligned to the D9/10 version of the module. I can help if needed.
