While I believe this is how it is done now it would be nice to have reference here to the instructions / change record of the said change.

Based on the core change record https://www.drupal.org/node/3070687 → using both keys should not collide together, but rather core applies up to 8.7.7 and core_version_requirement: ^8 || ^9 mathces 8.8+, and 9.x.

Hi @rpsu, My point here is the core key needs to be removed from info.yml files to make the module compatible with D10. If you just want to support D9 and you still want to support D8, which is EOL for a long time now, you can keep the key but then the module can't support D10 in that version.

This line is gone in version 2.1.0, see issue 3289300.
