We have a nested entity structure, e.g. entities of type A, B and C.
A1
B1, B2, ...
C1, C2, ...
A2
...
...
Our challenge is that in the C1 IEF we want to show a list containing B1, B2, ... from which the user should pick one.
So: we want the user to create a reference to a B type entity when creating/editing a C type entity.
We can easily get this working when A1 is saved and present in the database, but not when A1 has not been saved yet. We can also not refer to A1 in that case.
Is our assumption correct that this is just something that cannot be done with IEF?

I think the easier way to resolve this issue is just to save the entities as they are created.
E.g. when you add a child, to save the parent.
(I'm trying to figure out how to do this for my current project.)

We considered something similar, but then you should at least ensure that (the correct) stuff is being deleted when the user eventually presses Cancel buttons...
