Is there a way to make a discussion private after a given time?

Problem/Motivation

French GDPR requires attachments to be deleted and discussions to become anonymous after a 24-month period set by the CNIL.
Does the module provide a way to do that? If not, would it make sense to add this feature to the module (something we can enable/disable and choose a period for) ?
