After Drupal 10 upgrade, media library previews require browser cache clear

After upgrading my site from to Drupal 10, the thumbnails at /admin/content/media do not appear unless I press CTRL+Shift+R.

That is, after I upload an image, I see the alt text for the image in the thumbnail column. But then if I press CTRL+Shift+R, the thumbnail appears.

The behavior is the same in both Firefox and Chrome.

The issue doesn't happen in a fresh install of Drupal 10. It only happens in my upgraded site.

Any ideas how I might debug this?

Thanks

It’s probably the same platform issue causing πŸ› Media Name column of admin view has the wrong href Postponed: needs info . Not knowing anything about the platform it is difficult to offer advice.

What kind of information would help? I have attached a screenshot showing what I see at /admin/content/media after uploading an image.

    Thank you.

Any information whatsoever about the platform would be good to know. What does the browser console log indicate? I suspect the platform may be very slow to generate thumbnails.

I added some information about my environment to the end of the issue summary just now.

Nothing is showing up in the browser console. There are no errors. I also had a look at the Network tab of the Web Development Tools. I don't see anything notable there at any point during the file upload, nor when I save the form.

"I suspect the platform may be very slow to generate thumbnails."

No matter how long I wait, the thumbnail doesn't appear. I have verified the thumbnail file itself does appear in the file system immediately, in the correct location. That is, it appears immediately in sites/[my-site]/files/styles/thumbnail/public/[YYYY-MM]. However, the preview isn't displayed at /admin/content/media until I press CTRL+Shift+R.
