Can we more finely control permission to 'own' composite content?

Created on 25 May 2023, about 1 year ago

This might be just what we are looking for but for a couple of questions that would like to ask the community.

It looks like if we provide permission to 'Replicate' with the module Settings 'Replicate entity types' set to: Content and Paragraph then when a user Replicates a node that contains one or more Paragraph, then they get a copy of the node with an embedded copy of the Paragraph both of which they now 'own'.

What we are after ideally a solution that allows content editors to replicate the whole node but receive that replicated node with all the original Paragraphs in place but initially ineditable. Then, depending on other permissions, they might be able Replicate the paragraphs on an individual basis via (say) contextual links.

This way, they get to clone complex nodes and opt-in to overriding composite (contained content in those nodes.

I appreciate that was a bit of mouthful!

Is this kind of thing possible or have I got the wrong module for that!

Thanks
