Not a stupid question at all. As I mentioned in the other conversation in π¬ Is there a way to Drupal ECA model 'open' in Camuda? Active , such features can be added to the bpmn_io integration and I'm moving this issue over to that other project, as it needs to be done there.
The BPMN.iO library consists of dozens of individual javascript packages with tons of features. The application, that's integrating that package, needs to define, which features and in which way they want to integrate them. As this integration stands for Drupal at this point, we've implemented the MVP so that we can work with it for ECA.
That demo application you're referring to is nothing else: it's a demo implementation which takes some of the available features and package them in an application.
If anyone wanted to start working on the SVG rendering for this module, I'm happy to help and review the code at any time. But I currently don't have the bandwidth to get started on that myself.

Got it, thanks as ever Jurgen β for taking the time to explain.
This was what I was missing...

Now I get it properly!

Found a way to easily export the currently displayed model into an SVG, implementing that now.

@jurgenhaas β I can confirm that this new features in 2.1.x-dev is a killer β very useful indeed.
Another icing-on-the-cake development would be to enable this additionβ¦
