I'm not sure if this is the right project to report the issue at hand, but it's possible that someone may have encountered the same situation.
After installing the profile and modules related to Commerce Kickstart, if you try to edit, for example, the landing page with the Layout Builder and choose the Bootstrap template with x columns, it always reverts to 12 columns when saving, losing the selection.
I've tried visiting the module's pages to look for similar issues and attempted to resolve them, but so far without success.

I'm not sure which module would be the culprit. I can't reproduce your particular issue, but I do see log messages about:
