Group roles, other than Admin, are not assignable

Updated 16 May 2023, about 1 year ago

On a new install of Group 3.0.1, using Drupal core 10.0.9, after creating a Group Type, configuring Group Roles, creating a Group and adding a user, the only Group role I can assign to the user is the Group Admin role.

Steps to reproduce

Assumes

  1. You have installed Drupal 10, have a Drupal Administrator role, and are logged in as a Drupal Administrator
  2. You have installed latest version of Group and have enabled it

Steps:

  1. Create a new Drupal role called Content Editor
  2. Create a new Group Type. Enable all options and save new group type.
  3. Add a Group Role called Content Editor that syncs to the Global Drupal Content Editor role
  4. Add a Group
  5. Add a member to that group
  6. The only role to choose from is the Group Admin role. The Content Editor, Insider, Outsider, etc roles are not available to choose from.

My expectation is that I should be able to assign a Group role to the new user.
