Unable to use site after trying to uninstall Subgroup 3.0

Problem/Motivation

I installed the Subgroup module, then uninstalled it without really using it. Now when flexible_permissions calls getCalculators(), it is still returning subgroup's InheritedGroupPermissionCalculator. This doesn't work, because none of the subgroup entity types are defined anymore, so I just get a fatal exception.

This may be related to #3310255: Uninstall doesn't → , the symptoms seem different enough to warrant a new issue, at least initially.

    Trying to enable subgroup again to be able to get into the site also fails:

    In PreExistingConfigException.php line 65:

    Configuration objects (field.storage.group.subgroup_depth, field.storage.group.subgroup_left, field.storage.group.subgroup_righ
    t, field.storage.group.subgroup_tree) provided by subgroup already exist in active configuration
