How to create a 'Revoke access by role' rule using Rules in D9 ?

Hello, has anyone successfully created a Revoke access by role rule using Rules in D9 ?

This action is provided by Content Access. In the Add action UI, selecting the target content with the Data Selector is easy, but I can’t figure how to set the Β«Role-based access control settings.Β» for e.g. Revoke view access for anonymous users.

Nothing meaningful comes up when I set the field to Data Sector (autocomplete).

Thanks!

I am the maintainer of this module, but I am not able to help you. Hopefully somebody else will provide a better answer.

AFAIK, the integration between Rules and Content Access has never been properly documented, and portions of it probably don't work (I am unable to test). The project should have a co-maintainer providing support for Rules integration, but so far, nobody has stepped forwards. As a result of all this, I have decided to remove Rules integration from the Drupal 10 compatible version of this project – see πŸ“Œ Remove Rules integration Fixed .

You may want to check out ECA Content Access β†’ as a replacement.

Thanks for your quick reply @gisle!

My use case is simple enough so I ended up using tac_lite β†’ as a replacement for content_access + rules.

    Cheers!
