When to use this module vs. the core Workflows module?

When would someone want to use this module and not just the core Workflows module?

Given the obvious similarities between the names of the modules and their purpose, it would be helpful if the project page and/or README explained what this module offers that the core module does not.

Please check 💬 Is Workflow redundant now that Content Moderation+Workflows is in core? Active .

As a maintainer of Workflow, I haven't executed a comparison between contrib Workflow (since 2005!) and the new(ish) core Workflows.
At least, this contrib moudule has its use for the installed base.
