Multilingual sites

Problem/Motivation

I am using the module to connect external pages to some nodes of my site and sometimes it stopped working and I didn't understand why. After doing several tests, I discovered that the module does not make the connection well when the page is not in English (the page mainly in Spanish).

Steps to reproduce

When the page is in Spanish it adds a /es/ in the url, which the module seems to pick up in the creation of the alien (attached image), but then that connection does not work. When I enter that internal url it takes me to the node, not to the external url.

I'm new to Drupal and I don't see myself able to get into the guts of the module to see what's going on. Is there an easy solution to my problem?
