Color CSS declaration format throws AJAX Error

Steps to reproduce

When I set the 'Color CSS declaration' format for this field in the 'manage display' section, hitting the 'Cancel' or 'Update' button throws 2 errors to the browser console. One is a POST with status 500 and the other is Uncaught Drupal.AjaxError in AJAX HTTP with status 500.
