Problem/Motivation

Feeds upstream fixes this issue in #3306211: Deprecated function: trim(): Passing null is deprecated as of PHP 8 → .

This issue is to replicate that fix appropriately in Fraction.

Steps to reproduce

Feeds tests are currently failing with this error.

Proposed resolution

Replicate the fix from Feeds.
