Compatibility with Microsoft Graph API

I'm looking for any information about how Symfony Mailer interacts with the Microsoft Graph API. Specially, I'm curious what kinds of calls Symfony might make to an external mail-controlling system like Graph. A client is attempting to switch to Microsoft API for their internal use (switching email addresses, integrating with Microsoft Azure). I'm trying to figure out if there might be any security concerns regarding how Symfony calls to an external API.

Any advisement here would be appreciated.
